Lapsera

Study and work,
as a timelapse

Lapsera is an app for study timelapses. Film yourself while you study or work, and your phone is busy being the camera instead of pulling your attention away. What you record can be touched up and shared right inside the app.

A cat sticker covering a face on the review screen

01

Every face is found and covered

Faces are detected automatically and covered with a mosaic. Swap the mosaic for one of ten stickers: sunglasses, a cat, a panda, a ghost, a flame. And if you would rather hide nothing at all, that works too.

Recordings laid out by date on a calendar

02

Look back at a glance

Everything you record is laid out by date, with the total time for each month. Watching it fill up is the fun part. Add tags such as Study, Practice or Create and filter the list down to what you want to see.

Choosing the length and the quality of the video

03

No need to answer "how many times faster?"

The capture interval stretches and shrinks to match how long you work, so 30 minutes and 8 hours both come out at a length worth watching. Length, smoothness and quality are all picked after you stop.

The background blurred with only the hands left sharp

04

Keep the room out, keep your hands in

Blur the background and only the area you choose stays sharp. Drag to move that area, pinch to resize it.

A large clock shown while recording

05

While it records, your phone is busy

Choose what stays on screen while you work: the camera, a big clock, or almost nothing at all, just the elapsed time. The urge to check your phone goes away with the picture.

Choosing a colour filter

06

Post it raw, or dress it up

Eight filters, and background music if you feel like it. Watch the preview and change your mind as many times as you like.

Sharing the finished video

07

One tap, straight to any app

Capturing, masking and exporting all happen on your device, so the photos you take are never sent anywhere. It works in airplane mode.
